Thank you for all the help! \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.hho7ih3u8pyx\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Why auctions?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\">All of our products are handmade and handcrafted in-house, by us! We make unique, artisan products, many of which are one of a kind. We typically produce only a few bags a day, by choice. If we were to list them as &#8220;Buy It Now,&#8221;\u00a0they would be sold immediately, which can be upsetting and frustrating if you don&#8217;t happen to be online or available at the time we list them, or they sell within minutes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Our online auctions provide a platform for us to offer our limited products in a format that gives everyone the opportunity to potentially own a bag. We\u2019ve also structured our auctions with overtime bidding to prevent auction sniping and help take the stress out of trying to beat the clock.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.97dlkolkbved\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">What the heck does FYG mean, anyway?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">When we started making our bags, it was just Alicia making them. FYG was originally FYG squared, and stood for &#8220;For You, Girl. From Your Girl.&#8221; However, Dave quickly jumped in and learned how to make our FYGs, too, <em>and <\/em>we also have male customers who love our products. So, FYG now means both &#8220;For You Girl (or Guy), From Your Girl (or Guy).&#8221; We like to call them Fyggies!<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.97dlkolkbved\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">FYGs, Pouches, Keychains&#8230;What\u2019s the difference?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Pretty much all of our handmade leather goods are put up for auction due to the limited supply.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\">FYGs, our line of leather crossbody totes, are typically listed nightly, and as early as possible. They usually end at 9:30 PM Eastern, but do occasionally close later. We have FOUR sizes of FYGs &#8212; Perfect (formerly Original), Mini, Mini+, and <span class=\"c1\">BYGGIE (currently very rare!). Exact measurements are listed in the details of each auction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Pouches, which range from small, wallet sized to around fanny-pack sized, are listed in larger batches. Each pouch is unique, as we try to use as much of our leather as possible and minimize waste. Occasionally, we will have pouch auctions where all the proceeds go toward a charity we have chosen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.jetfziibvnzz\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Can I just buy a bag without having to bid?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\">In short, no. We almost never offer our FYGs for direct purchase. Typically the only opportunity to buy a FYG at a set price, without an auction, is by visiting us at an art show. We only do one or two shows a year these days, so stay tuned in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/soretrostraps\/\">private Facebook Group<\/a> for info on those!<\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Additionally, there is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/soretrobst\/\">SoRetro BST (Buy, Sell, Trade) group on Facebook<\/a>, where previously purchased bags will go up for sale by their current owners. We do not have any control over the prices or shipping within the BST group.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.jq9jcldniimk\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Charity Auctions<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">From time to time, and sometimes without any notice, we will offer up items to raise money for a selected cause or charity. All proceeds from these auctions are donated; however, we do deduct payment processing fees as well as shipping, when necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">We request that you do not use your SoRetro Rewards Tokens for charity event items. The value for the redeemed tokens is not added to the total cash donation. We want to donate as much as possible. So, please save your tokens for use on regular items. Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">We always try to research, to the best of our ability, each charity that we choose to donate to. If you have any legitimate concerns regarding the charity we have chosen, please reach out to us via our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/soretrostraps\/\">SoRetro Facebook<\/a> page.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.7h50hyupqx14\" class=\"c5 c6\"><\/h1>\n<h1 id=\"h.lvx59um02ynl\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">What are the prices of the auctions?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Our auctions typically open up at the following prices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Opening Bids<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Perfect FYG &#8211; Opens at $300<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c1\">Mini+ FYG &#8211; Opens at $275<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Mini FYG &#8211; Opens at $250<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">BYGGIE FYG &#8211; Opens at $350<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">FYG Hip Packs &#8211; $175+<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\">The ending auction prices of our FYGs varies greatly and is very difficult to give an estimate on.<\/p>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1 id=\"h.kw2uukpveqvt\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Auction History<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\">For the sake of transparency, we leave the bid history and original listing photos published for our previously listed bags.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">When looking at a closed and completed auction listing, you can scroll down and see the bidding history and closing prices. We use :):):):):):) for the names randomized and obscured to protect our customers&#8217; privacy! All the bags&#8217; closing prices are listed on the very top line, so you can see the amount paid by the winner.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.7nmcbpaq16oc\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Overtime<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Having &#8220;overtime&#8221; on our auctions prevents sniping and gives everyone a chance to bid instead of trying to beat the clock. Bid sniping is when someone waits to place a bid as late as possible, which does not allow other bidders a chance to outbid the sniper. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Typically, any bids in the last 3 minutes of the auction will extend the auction closing time by 3 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Not worrying about the clock means having time to think about it and bid accordingly. Sounds weird at first, but it&#8217;s great!<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.kw2uukpveqvt\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Account Verification<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\">We reserve the right to verify our auction participants if they are new customer and are not affiliated with our group. We will typically request this info via email and request a photo of your driver&#8217;s license.<\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.lmsivm9kajsl\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Typo Bids<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">There is a confirmation window that shows you EXACTLY the amount you are bidding. PLEASE read it before confirming!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\">We take our auctions very seriously and having to remove bids because of people not paying close enough attention is not okay and not fair to everyone participating.<span class=\"c1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">If an error is made and the price of the auction is affected, we will make the adjustment to the max bid made in error to the current price on the listing. For example, if an auction was currently at $275, and you entered $3000 by mistake instead of $300, and it caused the auction to shoot up to $450, we will adjust your max bid from $3000 to $450. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">PLEASE SLOW DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION!!! You won&#8217;t lose out on an auction by taking your time&#8230;that&#8217;s why we have overtime.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.qs8nauhz1zm8\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Custom Matching Leather Ends<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\">Almost all FYGs come with a handcrafted, handpicked SoRetro Strap with matching ends. We allow the purchase of up to two additional SoRetro Straps with matching leather ends per FYG. This order must be placed at the same time as your auction win, and needs to be on the same order. <span class=\"c1\">This is the only way to purchase a strap with matching leather ends from us.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.qs8nauhz1zm8\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">What if I want to purchase non-matching SoRetro Straps with my FYG win?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>If you want to purchase additional SoRetro Straps at the same time with your FYG purchase, they will be processed according to our standard production and turnaround time, and will NOT be made and shipped with your auction win.<\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.x1dq1ho0yjg9\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Winning Pouches and Other Auctions<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\">Once you have won an auction, you will see a message saying \u201cYou have won!\u201d Add your win to the cart and check out! It\u2019s very easy! \u00a0We offer\u00a0payment<span class=\"c1\"> by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the ability to split up your payment into smaller monthly payments with Afterpay. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Payment for an auction win is due immediately upon winning. Yes, you&#8217;ll have time to get your card out of your purse or wallet if that information isn&#8217;t saved to your account!<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.uzmift4pkezv\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">How do I know when it starts and when it ends?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\">Auctions can start at any time. It will show you if you\u2019re the high bidder. Do not trust that you are winning because the high bid is the amount of your max bid! \u00a0Don\u2019t forget to refresh the page often! REFRESH! REFRESH!! REFRESH!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.uget0tbi0du9\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Is my bid \u2018binding\u2019?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\">Yes, all bids are binding. The confirmation window will show you\u00a0exactly the amount\u00a0<span class=\"c1\">you are bidding. To ensure fairness to everyone participating, all bids must be binding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">The consequences for not paying for an auction may include, but are not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"c3 lst-kix_sknvpb77i9ec-0 start\">\n<li class=\"c0 c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Banned from participating in any\/all future auctions, and from making other purchases.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c0 c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Removal of all SoRetro Rewards Tokens.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c0 c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Removal from all private Facebook groups.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c0 c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Exclusion from future events, promotions, and\/or giveaways.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1 id=\"h.op9lx2w6bp58\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">How does the max bid work?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">When you enter your max bid, the system will automatically bid in set increments ($5 for FYG, $2 for Pouches and other items) until your max bid is reached. Once your max bid is reached, you may enter another max bid and the system will continue to bid in the set increment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">One thing to be aware of, in the case of matching high bids, preference will be given based on the earliest time the bid was placed. For example, if you bid $200 at 3:00 PM, and someone else puts in a max bid of $200 at 5:00 PM, the current high bid will be $200, but the current high bidder will be the earlier, 3:00 PM, bid.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.7qrlh94sv5ox\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">Can I bid on more than one item?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Yes! \u00a0You can bid on as many items as you want; however, keep in mind that the ending times may be at the same time, or different times. \u00a0Watch the clock to see what time the items you are bidding on end. \u00a0Remember that bids within the last three minutes will extend the clock an additional three minutes. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.rn2mvxqltvb2\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">What about Add-ons?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">Magnetic closures can be added prior to checking out for an additional fee.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"h.62zbtjcz4zn0\" class=\"c5\"><span class=\"c4\">What\u2019s with all the Mystery craziness??<\/span><\/h1>\n<p class=\"c0\">Occasionally, we will post a\u00a0Mystery FYG, pouch, or other item\u00a0as an available auction. Sometimes we\u2019ll post a Mystery and not say anything about what it is. This means that the bag (or whatever you\u2019re bidding on) is a mystery to you! If you win, we will make\u00a0the bag (or other item)\u00a0<span class=\"c1\">for you, taking into consideration your preferences\u2026if we know them! We will check if you&#8217;ve won an auction previously to ensure you&#8217;re not getting a duplicate. A great way for us to get to know you and your preferences is to join our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/soretrostraps\/\">SoRetro Owners\u2019 Association group on Facebook<\/a>!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c4\">What is the Choose Your Own Adventure FYG?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\">We will occasionally list a &#8220;Choose Your Own Adventure FYG.&#8221; This usually consists of a few pictured bags, from which you get to choose one to be your own adventure! The colors in these listings usually fit a theme in some\u00a0<span class=\"c1\">way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c0\">For<span class=\"c1\">\u00a0example, our &#8220;Choose your Own Beach Adventure.&#8221; We will list your available choices in the auction description, which can include, but are \u00a0not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"c3 lst-kix_hi3sjyadlr90-0 start\">\n<li class=\"c0 c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Size<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c0 c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">FYG color<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c0 c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Handle color<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"c0 c9 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c1\">Hardware color<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"c0\"><span class=\"c1\">As the auction description states, you will list your choices in the notes for the order. Additionally, no custom strap request can be submitted with these auctions.
